work to end homelessness

While progress has been made, too many Floridians still experience homelessness. Central Florida may be booming, yet housing affordability for the area’s low-income renters is a deepening fiscal crisis. Complicating matters, our service economy is dominated by low-wage job opportunities. This presents significant challenges for single adults—especially those with minor children.

Unaddressed, homelessness will inevitably increase. Not enough is being done to make sure this does not happen. With population growth set to top six million by 2030, both the private and public sectors MUST put in place a well-funded plan to increase the number of units necessary to improve housing affordability in our state.

Pathlight HOME stands ready to do our part. Even still, we need more support from the private, corporate and philanthropic community to reach our goal. YOU help us make the difference!
